Printing Details
This is a finely bound handwritten testimonial, presented by F B Macnutt, Provost and Warden of Leicester Cathedral, to Miss Emma Mason in November 1933, for twenty years of devoted service.
This small book is bound in full blue crushed morocco, with gilt titling and border design to the upper board. All edges gilt, 15.5 × 13cm.
The contents of the book consist of four pages in manuscript, inked in red and black to the border and describe the service of Miss Mason. The last page of this part is signed by Frederick B Macnutt. This is followed by an original pen and ink drawing of Leicester Cathedral, signed by W Cecil Dunford (a noted artist). Then comes eight pages of alphabetical names of the Leicester Cathedral Fellowship.
Condition
This copy is in very good condition. The inner binding is a little strained in the middle but all pages remain firmly bound. The book was presented in a standard cardboard box which is in a battered state but has done a good job in protecting the book.
