Printing Details

First edition, first printing. Hardback in dustwrapper. 22 × 14cm, 266pp.

This is the autobiography of Katharine Susannah Prichard, Australian author and co-founding member of the Communist Party of Australia. "Ranging from Fiji to Melbourne, from Hobart to Paris, Child of the Hurricane is the autobiography of one of the most distinguished Australian novelists. It is at once Prichard's personal story, and a fascinating record of her career as a young writer and her meetings with other writers and celebrities."

A good copy of a scarce book. The book has some rubbing to the boards' edges and tanning to the pages but the binding is firm and the book in strong readable condition. The dustwrapper is quite heavily worn along the edges, spine ends and joints but has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve. Previous owner's name to ffep.
