Hamlet: Father and Son
Peter Alexander's Lord Nothcliffe's Lectures from 1953
First edition, first printing. Hardback in dustwrapper. 19.5 × 12.5cm, vii + 189pp.
The five essays here are from The Lord Northcliffe Lectures at University College, London delivered in 1953. These lectures some of the more arresting features of Hamlet, and illustrate, with reference to the play, some general principles that provide a clue to Shakespeare and his writings.
The book is in very good condition. The dustwrapper has some tanning to the spine but is also in very good order.
