An incredible resource compiled from official lists
First edition. Large hardback in dustwrapper. 34 × 22cm, 116pp, 161pp, 94pp, 121pp, 111pp, 95pp
Contains the details of official casualty lists, taken from six editions of the time. From the dustwrapper, "This edition was compiled from official sources and with the co-operation of the London Public Record Office. It will enable collectors, historians, and dealers to have at their finger tips a reference to the majority of casualties sustained in the Boer War involving British and Colonial units. There were many battles as is generally known, resulting in disasters as well as victories, as the Boers showed the British Army many new tactics, some of which were adopted in the 1914–1918 war and are still employed today.
A good reference copy. The dustwrapper is sun-faded to the spine and front panel, with wear to the spine ends. The book has tanning and spotting to the edges but the main body of text is in good order with secure binding. A large and heavy book.On Hold
