A collection of French folklore, legends and mythology, including Contes D'Animaux (animal tales), Les Hommes Forts (strong men), Les Aventures Merveilleuses, Les Fees (fairies), Le Diable (the Devil) etc, the second part collects Contes Picards.
Condition
This rare first edition is in good plus condition. The binding is secure and the pages clean but with occasional light foxing. A previous owner has signed her name to the ffep and made a neat pencil annotation to the first page of each tale (these notes are relevant to the tale and give some indication to the subject matter).
