A selection of verse from Rasul Gazmatov, the Russian poet from the Avar village of Tsada in the north-east Caucasus. Each piece is presented in the Russian to the verso and English to the recto.

Also included is a first edition copy of translator Peter Tempest's "First Poems" (Lawrence & Wishart, 1957). Tempest was a poet, translator and the Moscow correspondent for The Daily Worker in the 1960s.

Condition

Very good condition, with light surface wear to the wrapper.
