Loosely inserted is a typed letter signed by Simon Raven, and handwritten envelope. A previous owner's name to the ffep is the same as the addressee. The letter, sent from Raven's Deal address in Kent is dated June 1970, and is typically Ravenish, putting off visitors, and being evasive...
Book six in the Alms for Oblivion series which covers the period 1945 to 1973 and centres on a group of upper and upper middle class characters, but each book can be read as a stand alone title. This title is set in the mid-1960s and recounts a struggle in student unrest at Lancaster College with plenty of sex, humour and a revolutionary agitator.
Condition
The book is in very good condition, with some tanning to the page edges. The dustwrapper has light wear to the edges but has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve.
