From the dustwrapper, "This completely absorbing book tells us from the inside what are the real tasks, problems, risks, incentives, and methods of operation of the men and women who practice espionage in foreign countries in the post-war world." Christopher Felix (a pseudonym) was an agent with the CIA and here lifts the lid on the life of spies (he apparently worked in Hungary as a political agent after the Second World War).
The book is divided into two distinct parts. The first discusses the generally recognised categories and aspects of secret operations, and the second part provides a detailed account of a particular operation in which the author participated.
Condition
A good copy. The dustwrapper has tanning and chipping to the edges but has not been price-clipped. The pages have some spotted foxing to the edges and tanning but the book remains in strong readable condition.
