Two books on Constance Georgine Markievicz, 1868—1927), also known as Countess Markievicz, the Irish politician, revolutionary, nationalist, suffragist, and socialist who was the first woman elected to the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
1. Prison Letters of Countess Markievicz, with a new introduction Amanda Sebestyen (Virago, London, 1987). Paperback, first thus. Illustrated with photographs. Good condition, with some tanning to the pages and a slight crease to the spine.
2. The Rebel Countess, The Life and Times of Countess Markievicz by Anne Marreco (Phoenix Press, London, 2000) Paperback, new edition. Some wear to covers, and a little finger marking to the page edges.

Both books are in strong readable condition, with a little age-related wear.
