Grace James was an English folklorist born in Japan. In Green Willow (first published in 1910), she collects and retells thirty Japanese fairy tales from the Japanese folk tradition. Warwick Goble contributes 16 full page colour plates to this edition.
Condition
A very attractive copy. There is light wear to the red cloth binding, a previous owner's name to the ffep, and a small taped reinforcement to the binding between the ffep and the rear of the frontispiece. The main body of text is in very good condition, and all sixteen plates are present.
