Printing Details
First thus. Hardback in dustwrapper. 25.5 × 18cm, 40pp [2].
First published in 1889, Flora's Feast was the first of a series of remarkable books, and anticipated the full flowering of art nouveau. In exploiting the page as 'a space to be made beautiful in design', Crane succeeds in combining water colour tinting with the technique of the wood-block colour process which must be considered one of the great achievements of the Victorian age. This facsimile is a reproduction of the first edition.
Condition
Very good condition, with some light foxing to the pages' top edge and an inoffensive previous owner's name. The wrapper is also very good but has been neatly price-clipped.
