A comprehensive work on Worthing and its numerous historical attributes and modern amenities (ancient times, natural history, administration, borough engineering, transport, music, art etc), each section being written by a well known local writer. The book was published on the occasion of the 43rd Congress of the South Eastern Union of Scientific Societies, held at Worthing 25th June, 1938.

Also included is an early 20th century copy of Bacon'd Map of the Environs of Worthing for Cyclists and Tourists, a fold out colour map.

Condition

The book is in very good condition, with tanning to the endpapers, and the wrapper with light edgewear but now in a protective sleeve. The map is in good, used condition.
