Printing Details
This is a partial note handwritten by the Victorian artist Frederick, Lord Leighton (1830–1896).
It was sent from 2 Holland Park Road, Kensington (later renumbered as no 12, and known as Leighton House), with the artist's embossed crest. Only a partial area survives and the remaining handwriting reads "Sir Frederic Leighton presents...".
Condition
It is undated but would date from 1866 to 1896. It is just the head of a note torn off under Leighton's opening writing and the top left corner torn off. Light foxing but a nice signature from Frederic Leighton from Leighton House. Measures 11 × 9cm at the longest parts.
