"This book is the fruit of some twenty years' residence in Leicestershire, in a village and in a big city. It is, as the subtitle suggests, an illustrated essay on the history of the landscape, an attempt to interpret to others the significance of what they may see in the streets and fields, the history that lies behind the scene of everyday existence."
Condition
A good copy. The book has some tanning to the page edges but remains in strong readable condition. The dustwrapper appears to have been laminated but quite neatly. There is some edgewear and rubbing but generally a good copy.
