Printing Details
Here are three book on the English artist L S Lowry.
1. Michael Howard, L S Lowry, A Visionary Artist (The Lowry Press, Salford, 2000). First edition, large hardback in dustwrapper. 255pp. Profusely illustrated, Michael Howard takes a new look at Lowry as the popular image of Lowry has tended to obscure both the strength and conviction of his vision, and his place within the modernist tradition. A good copy in strong readable condition, with a faint water stain and light rippling to the fore-edge of the last few pages. Fading to the wrapper's spine.
2. Michael Leber & Judith Sandling, L S Lowry (Phaidon, London, 1994). Reprint, card covers. A study of Lowry including a catalogue of works by Lowry in British museums. Very good condition, previous owner's name to half-title.
3. Mervyn Levy, Drawings of L S Lowry (Jupiter Books, London, 1973). Reprint, hardback in dustwrapper. 64 reproductions of Lowry's drawings with commentary by the author. Light wear to the wrapper, some light tanning to the pages but otherwise in strong readable condition.
