Printing Details
First edition. Hardback in dustwrapper. 20.5 × 14cm, 214pp.
Thirty-two tales from Lappland that evoke most tellingly the very spirit of Northern Europe, where the line between reality and magic is still very uncertain. Stallo and Draug, Sharan and Water-Folk, reindeer and bears, all play a part in the life of the Lapps, whether they be mountain-Lapps, nomadic-Lapps, fisher-Lapps, or fixed-dwelling Lapps. Illustrated in black and white by Norwegian artist Arnulf Bjorndal.
Condition
A good copy in strong readable condition. The wrapper has been price-clipped, and there is a neat previous owner's name to the ffep. The pages have some light tanned to the edges but otherwise a very decent copy.
