This copy has been signed by Dame Lois Browne-Evans firstly under the portrait frontispiece, and secondly with a lengthy inscription to the title page. This is to Sir Brian who was Brian Smedley, a High Court judge who worked in Bermuda during the mid-1980s.

A political biography of Lois Marie Brown who was the first female member of the Bermuda Bar, an early deputy for the Progressive Labor Party and the first female opposition leader anywhere in the British Commonwealth.
