Richard Johnson's The Seven Champions of Christendom (first published in 1596) tells the stories of St George of England, St Denis of France, St James of Spain, St Anthony of Italy, St Andrew of Scotland, St Patrick of Ireland, and St David of Wales. This edition illustrated by Edward H Corbould, the frontispiece showing St George and the Dragon, the title page with a vignette of King Arthur and his Round Table.
Condition
Good condition for age. There is light spotted foxing throughout, mostly to the margins. The inner binding is sound and only light bumping to the boards.
