A study of Nicholas (Nicolaus) Copernicus, the Polish mathematician, astronomer, and Catholic canon. This book was published by the Kosciuszko Foundation which was founded in New York in 1925 by the author, Stephen Mizwa, to promote Polish-American intellectual and artistic exchange. The book is in four sections: 1. The Life Story of Copernicus, 2. Sarmaticus Astronomus, 3. Program Suggestions (the promotion of Copernicus around his quadricentennial), and 4. In the Name of Copernicus—this section looking at the post-war educational reconstruction of Poland.
Condition
The book is in good condition, though there is some browning from the glue used to the pastedowns. Light rubbing to the spine ends, but otherwise is good, clean condition. The slipcase is poor, with rubbing, bumping, taped repair and with a message on a sticker.
