Illustrated with photographs and drawings, this book examines the need for new social housing and the clearance of the slum housing and the condition attached to them. It studies the national housing problem, the economic analysis, and the design and construction of tenement flats. The book looks tenement flats from across Europe with a photographic section showing new housing in Berlin, Vienna, etc as well as existing tenements and then describes the architectural design and construction of them, including architect's plans.

This copy is in very good condition for age, There is a little fading and marking to the green cloth, and a few pages have light and intermittent spotted foxing but otherwise this is a good, clean copy in strong readable condition.
