In The Eighth Octave, Russian pianist Mark Hambourg continues the record, begun in From Piano to Forte, of his life in the service of his instrument. He remembers the great pianists of the day, the programmes and conductors, his inside knowledge of concert halls and radio studios, and his concert tours. He also talks of his enduring association with the Savage Club.

Condition

Fair. The book is in good condition, with some tanning to the endpapers and a small dark mark to the top corner of the boards, but the main body of text remaining in strong readable condition. The dustwrapper is tatty, with tears and loss.
