First printings of the first two novels in the Ramage series, the historical naval adventures set during the French Revolutionary Wars. The first sees Nicholas Lord Ramage taking command of the Sibella and on a rescue mission, the second has Ramage commanding the cutter HMS Kathleen, dispatched by Commodore Horatio Nelson to carry messages to Gibraltar while transporting the Italians refugees rescued in Ramage.
Condition
Both books are in strong readable condition, and the wrapper's in protective sleeves. Ramage: There is a closed tear to the front panel of the wrapper, light wear and light foxing / tanning to the pages' top edge. Ramage and the Drumbeat: Very good condition, light wear to the wrapper's edges and some small amount of isolated foxing to the page edges.
