First UK edition. Hardback in dustwrapper. 21 × 14cm, 277pp.
"This is the first volume to emphasize man as an important element in relation to the success of marriage and family life... Men here will find sound guidance for the interpretation of themselves in relation to disturbing situations that may affect courtship, marriage, and fatherhood, during the rise, peak and decline of their virility. The author affords a rational explanation of the sources of happiness and unhappiness through marriage. Sexual incompatibility, allowances, divorce, child adoption, death, and friction in the family home are considered in the light of human frailty".
Condition
A good reading copy. The book is in sound shape but with quite a lot of (neat) underlining to the text (an example of what's been underlined: "In marriage, the sex act must ever be a shared privilege, rather than one person's right, in order that tender love may prevail in place of brutish passion".). The dustwrapper is quite heavily chipped and creased to the edges with some discoloration but is now within a protective sleeve.
