This book is an extended version of a long essay by Bernard Shaw published in 1891 on the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen and of Ibsen's critical reception in England. GBS has here extended his writings and includes the period up to Ibsen's death in 1906.

This copy has been stamped 'Presentation Copy' to the title page by the publisher.

Condition

A good reading copy. There is a slight lean, and the covers are a little dulled and bumped. The pages are clean and the binding secure.
