Full title: Regimental Badges Worn in the British Army One Hundred Years Ago, Reproduced in Facsimile from the Pen and Ink Drawings in the Note Book of a Silversmith of that Time. The Regiments Identified, and Notes Bearing on their History Added
This book records the badges of 75 regiments of the British Army during the campaigns of the Duke of Wellington and the Duke of Marlborough. This book was reproduced from an original manuscript purchased by the author which had belonged to a silversmith and who had recorded the Regimental insignia. As well as the illustrations, this book adds historical notes on the regiments.
Condition
The green leather binding has been knocked about quite a bit and suffers from some surface dents, scuffs and pockmarks. However the binding is secure and the pages are clean and this is a scarce copy to find in its limited edition form.
