Three Medieval morality plays (Everyman, The Nativity, and The Shepherd's Play), with decorations and illustrations by John Austen. The decorations are chapter headings, endpapers, and the delightful illustrations are coloured in gold as well as blacks and blues.

Condition

Very good condition. The rebinding has been done to a high standard, and the inner binding is secure. There is some light scattered foxing to the prelims. The contents are in good order but some of the gold colouring on the illustrations has offsetting from the opposing text—and whilst this makes for a rather interesting effect, it is a fault...
