The first few pages are a history of Coventry and its notable buildings, and then comes November 14th, 1940, and the devastating raid by the Luftwaffe which destroyed vast swathes of the city, including the cathedral. There are narratives from the Fire Service, the utilities, and a good selection of photographs of the bomb damage before moving on to the plan for Coventry.
