The author was the Clerk to the West Riding Justices at Doncaster, and a writer about the legal system and crime. In this book, he covers the work of the courts though cases, with chapters on the mind of the criminal, strange cases etc, and also the children's court, husbands and wives, gangs and gangsters, and so on, with occasional illustration.
Condition
The book is in strong readable condition, with some spotted foxing to the page edges. The dustwrapper is a little tatty to the edges but in good order.
