From the dustwrapper, "When Donald Macdonell was asked by his friend to deliver the Loring diamonds, notorious for the trail of calamities which they left behind them wherever they went, he deliberately defied superstition and agreed to take charge of them. Not many hours later he found himself involved in a maze of complications from which it was impossible to extricate himself."

Bruce Graeme was one of a number of pseudonyms for Graham Montague Jeffries, a prolific crime and thriller writer.

Condition

A good reading copy only. The book is quite heavily foxed to the page edges but remains in strong readable condition. The dustwrapper is tatty and creased to the edges, with slight loss to the spine ends, and with a closed tear to the front panel, but has not been price-clipped and is now within a protective sleeve.
