First edition. Small hardback, bound in the original blue cloth with gilt titling and decoration to the spine and upper board. Page edges untrimmed. 17 × 13cm, 107pp.

Signed, dated and dedicated by Pamela Tennant to the ffep. Also with the bookplate of Anne Powell, anthologist and historian who wrote a brief life of Bim (Edward Wyndham Tennant), Pamela Tennant's son who was killed in the Great War.

Pamela Tennant's book of poetry, much on the natural world. She was one of the Wyndham sisters in the famous portrait by Singer Sargent. She married first Edward Tennant, 1st Baron Glenconner, and later of Edward Grey, 1st Viscount Grey of Fallodon.

Condition

Good condition. There is some rubbing to the edges of the blue cloth binding and fraying to the joints at the spine ends. The pages a little age-toned, but the book remaining in strong readable condition.
