For four decades Fairey was one of the great names in British aviation and, although the organization no longer builds aircraft of its own design, the name continues in aeronautical spheres. During that long period from the 1914–18 war until well after the Second World War, Fairey's name was always associated with British naval aircraft—there was the long series of Fairey IIIs which served the Royal Naval Air Service and the Fleet Air Arm and which in its final form saw widescale service with the RAF before being developed into the Gordon and the Seal. The book contains a number of photographs and diagrams of the aircraft depicting their layout from different views, and there is also a complete listing of aircraft by constructor's numbers.
Condition
A good solid copy, though there is some foxing to the page edges. The main body of text is in good clean condition, and the binding is secure.
