Tom Rolt's book of his 1946 journey along the Grand Canal, Shannon River and Royal Canal in southern Ireland. Green & Silver paints a wonderful and evocative picture, not only of Irish waterways as they were, but of a now vanished way of life just after the end of the Second World War. The book is illustrated with photographs by his first wife, Angela.

Condition

The book itself is in good condition, with clean pages and secure binding. There is some tanning and foxing to the endpapers and pages edges, and some bumping to the green cloth binding. The dustwrapper is poor, with loss to the spine ends and edges. It is now in a protective sleeve.
