A good collection of Cowper's poems, illustrated with eight engravings on steel. John Leighton (1822–1912) came from a family of binders as well as being an illustrator (under the name Luke Limner). His bindings are known for their high Victorian intense gilt designs.
Condition
Good condition. There is some rubbing to the cloth and a water splashes to the upper board. The book is in strong readable condition, with some wear to the rear hinge.
