First published in 1917, this was Georges Duhamel's first novel and is based on his experiences as a surgeon with the French army during the Great War. This is the first illustrated edition, with nineteen drawings by Paul Louis Guilbert.
Condition
There is some very light wear to the leather binding but otherwise this copy is in very good condition.
