An English translation of Justin's abridgment of Pompeius Trogus's Historiae Philippicae, a universal history from the beginning until the time of the Caesars. The original work did not survive (the commonly attributed date is that of the late 2nd century or early 3rd century AD). The text is in Latin and English, and printed in double columns.

Condition

Fair to good condition. Whilst the book remains in good readable condition, the spine (as mentioned) has been reinforced. The inner binding is weakening at the start of the book and needs a little bit of gentle handling. The main body of text is in good order, with some light tanning to the pages. Inoffensive previous owner's name to ffep and front pastedown.
