A guide for magic shows for children. In this book, "professional children's entertainer and inventor of magical effects, Ian Adair, reveals all. The first section covers many aspects of the business side of preparing and selling a show. There are chapters on settings, stands, tables, and displays; lighting, the curtain backcloth, display unit; microphones and amplification; clothing, dress and appearance; fees; the magic library or study and the magic den; the car or van etc. Then there's the good solid practical effects and routines. Tricks and routines suitable for all age groups. Sucker tricks, participation effects, rabbit productions, comedy routines and bits of business. The material in this encyclopeadia has never been published before, the effects being the originations of the author, he having performed them hundreds of times before child audiences with tremendous success."
Whilst the book is in strong readable condition, there is foxing to the page edges (heaviest to the top edge) and to the endpapers and pastedowns. The main body of text is in good clean condition.
