Robert Fabian was a Superintendent in the Metropolitan Police. After he retired, he wrote about his experiences with the London underworld in Fabian of the Yard, which was televised under the same name. He followed that up with this account of the vice-trade and seedy underworld of Soho, with chapters such as The Master Minds of Crime, The Twilight World of the Nark, London's Cocktail Girls, The Blitz Site Murder, and The Light-Fingered Barmaid. The book is illustrated with atmospheric black and white photographs.
Condition
The book is in good condition, with some weakening to the inner binding at the half-title page but otherwise in strong readable condition. The dustwrapper suffers loss to the corners and spine ends, with chipping to all edges. It has been price-clipped but is now within a protective sleeve.
