Sixth edition. Hardback, bound in black cloth with printed titling to spine and upper board. 23.5 × 15cm, 728pp.
An interesting comprehensive set of sailing instructions for the coastline and waters of Newfoundland. The book is illustrated with maps, and has detailed area studies, for example : Newfoundland, eastern coast—Cape St Francis to Cape Race, including St John's Harbor and the Grand Banks of Newfoundland etc etc.
The book appears to have been bought at Negus in New York, the famous nautical instrument makers and compass adjusters, and was kept aboard the M/V Sea Trader of New York and is stamped many times.
Condition
A good reference copy. The book is lacking the index chart to the start but the main body of text is in good, readable condition. There is some tanning and foxing, and light rubbing to the cloth boards.
