A Dream Observed and Other Poems (Signed copy)
Signed by Anne Ridler and Roger Senhouse, with handwritten note by Tambimuttu
Undated . First edition. Paperback, stapled binding with printed titling to front cover. 21.5 × 14cm, 21pp.
This copy has been signed by Anne Ridler to the title page with a lengthy quotation from the poems (Zennor) on page 5. It has also been signed by publisher Roger Senhouse, a peripheral Bloomsbury Group figure, a publisher and translator and Lytton Strachey's last lover, and finally, "complimentary copy" has been written in red ink just below Senhouse's signature, and this is in the publisher Tambimuttu's handwriting, he was a Tamil poet and founder of Poetry London.
Published as No 2 of the PL Pamphlets, this is an early collection by British poet Anne Ridler and contains sixteen of her poems.
A good copy, with a nice trio of signings. The covers are a little creased to the back cover and with some handling marks but the contents are in very good condition. The booklet was closed before Tambimuttu's red ink writing had a chance to dry and there's a little offset to the inside cover. The pages are clean but with a little foxing to the central pages.
