This copy comes from the library of anthologist, author and historian Anne Powell, and loosely inserted is a postcard from Martin Gilbert. Additionally, Anne Powell has placed newspaper clippings inside, mostly obituaries of Holocaust survivors and historians.

This is a very thorough account of the experience of the Jews of Europe during World War II. It is virtually a day-by-day account, in men and women's own words, of the horrifying events of the Holocaust—the Nazi attempt to exterminate the Jewish race. Illustrated with photographs, some of which are graphic.

Good condition. The inserted material has slightly changed the shape of the book, and there is light wear to the covers, However, it remains in strong readable condition.
