Printing Details

This is an autographed musical notation by Frederick Rosse. He has handwritten five bars of music, titled Minuet, and handwritten the following under the music: "from Miss Maxine Elliot's dance in "The Conquest" at The Lyric Theatre London, April 1909." He has then autographed the sheet and dated it July 28, 1909.

Frederick Rosse (1867–1940) was an English composer of light music and operettas, and the godson of Lillie Langtry.

Maxine Elliott was an American actress who worked with Charlie Chaplin. Her play "The Conquest" was not one of her successes...

The sheet is 18.5 × 21.5cm, and is cream in colour, with Rosse's writing in black ink.

Condition

Good condition, some tanning to the edges and a few spots but otherwise good and clear, but with a slight smudge over his signature.
