This is a verbatim shorthand report of A J Balfour's Romanes Lecture delivered in the Sheldonian Theatre, November 24, 1909. It was rewritten and republished in 1910 as 'Criticism and Beauty'.
Condition
The covers are in poor condition with creasing to the fore-edge and the spine is torn for the lower 8cm. The contents however are in good plus condition, and perfectly readable with clean pages (bar a little age-toning), and the inner binding is secure.
