First edition. Hardback , bound in the original brown cloth with gilt titling to spine. 22 × 14cm, 213pp + 2pp ads.

This copy has been signed directly to the title page by Ursula Barnett Potter. There is also a slip tucked in with Christmas wishes from Bertha Spicer (Ursula's sister).

The author's account of the joys and problems of low-level flying round Africa with her husband. Including a flight round the Belgian Congo, a flight to Europe (up the east coast of Africa, to Nairobi, Khartoum, Luxor, and crossing into Europe over Tunis), and a flight from London to Zanzibar (into Africa over Tangier, and down the west coast to Lagos, Leopoldville etc). The book is illustrated with photographs. Ursula Barnett Potter was the youngest daughter of Liberal MP, Albert Spicer, and married Barnett Potter, a well-known pilot.

Condition

Good condition. There is a little fading to the spine and the book has a bit of a musty smell which will go in time.
