Obsessed with the idea of creating life itself, Victor Frankenstein plunders graveyards for the material with which to fashion a new being, shocking his creation to life with electricity. But this botched creature, rejected by its creator and denied human companionship, sets out to destroy Frankenstein and all that he holds dear.
Condition
A good plus copy for age. The rebinding had been done to a good standard but the front hinge at the title page is starting, though is still very firmly attached. There is an inoffensive taped strengthener to the rear of the title page and the first page of the introduction. The title page and first page of introduction has light spotted foxing but the main body of text is in very clean condition. The front endpaper is a little creased where bound in. The page edges have a few spots of light bumping (probably from the rebinding) but overall, this remains a very decent late Victorian copy of a Gothic masterpiece.
