A fascinating summary of Norfolk and Suffolk in the first years of the twentieth century. Each county begins with a brief account of the county, its officials, and geology followed by an alphabetical gazetteer of the towns, cities and villages (for Norfolk this is Acle to Yelverton, and in Suffolk it is Acton to Yoxford). Then comes the countyside private residents directory (an alphabetical listing of the notable residents), and then the trades directory. This is followed by county adverts.
This copy has the two maps, one for each county.
Condition
This copy is in good plus condition for age. The rebinding has been done to a high standard and the inner binding is very secure. The burgundy cloth is a little marked with a light but visible dent over the front board. The Norfolk map is in very good condition, the Suffolk map is clean but has a closed tear where bound in. The main body of text is in good order, and remains a very useful resource for researchers and genealogists.
