Sounding Stones of Architecture
Philip N Youtz's philosophy of architecture (1929)
First US edition. Hardback bound in blue cloth with title labels to spine and upper board. 19.5 × 13.5cm, 256pp
A series of nine essays in which the author discusses his philosophy of architecture (definition, symbolism, function, structure, materials, style, design, construction, and aesthetics).
Whilst the book is in strong readable condition, the spine is very faded. The contents are in much better condition, and with a note about the author (probably from the dustwrapper) pasted to the front pastedown.
