William Morris contributes a preface as well as several essays (on textile, printing, dyeing as an art), other include T J Cobden-Sanderson on bookbinding, Walter Crane on wall papers (and other essays), Somers Clarke on stone carving, May Morris on materials and colour, F Madox Brown on mural painting, and W R Lethaby on carpenters' furniture, amongst others.
Condition
A good copy. There is chipping to the boards' edges and a few spots of marking to the boards. The contents have some light spotted foxing throughout but on the whole the book is clean and in strong readable condition.
