Between November 1905 and March 1906, the Prince and Princess of Wales (later George V and Queen Mary) embarked on a tour of India, which represented the most extensive survey of the sub-continent undertaken by members of the Royal Family. This book describes the tour, the towns, the architecture, the Indian etc, and has 165 illustrations from photographs.
This copy was a prize from the publishers Hodder and Stoughton's Annual Excursion and Sports Day in August 1906, and was given to an S Gant for coming second in the 100 yards flat race.
Condition
Fair, the blue cloth is rubbed and bumped and darkened to the spine. There is light foxing to the pages but otherwise the book remains in strong readable condition.
