A memoir of Richard Henry Vernon (1885–1921). He studied chemistry at Cornell and in Europe, served in the Great War with the Dorset Regiment, and eventually became a research student at Gonville and Caius. He died in 1921 of natural causes. The papers contained here include Organic Derivatives of Tellurium (in four parts) and the Interaction of Ethylene and Sulphur Monochloride.
Condition
Good to fair condition but with some wear. The leather is scuffed and rubbed to the edges and spine ends, and along the joints. The pages are foxed but the inner binding is secure. The photograph frontispiece is signed in pencil by Lafayette photography.
