Three Medieval morality plays (Everyman, The Nativity, and The Shepherd's Play), with decorations and illustrations by John Austen. The decorations are chapter headings, endpapers, and the delightful illustrations are coloured in gold as well as blacks and blues.
Condition
There is damage to the head of the spine and a small scuff to the fore-edge, some light mottling to the boards. There is a slight bow to the boards. The contents are in good order but all of the gold colouring on the illustrations has offsetting from the opposing text—and whilst this makes for a rather interesting effect, it is a fault...
